Torness trip tomorrow! (Friday 27th)

A quick reminder of details:

Mobile phones and cameras are not permitted on site and must be left with Security.
Please bring photographic ID with you (driver's licence or passport).


08:00 Be at Heriot-Watt reception for coach (where buses go from)

09:00 Visitors arrive at Torness

09:30 Welcome presentation in lecture theatre (Tam Al Bishawi)

10:30 Station tour incorporating visitors’ route

12.00 Visitors depart Torness.

13:00 Should be bak at campus (in time for beer!)


Trip is completely free (but your name needs to be on the list).

And remember, bomb jokes are for BEFORE and AFTER the trip.

Hi all!

Just a quick update. Need to know if anyone wants to do much before the end of term. I was thinking a BBQ and astronomy one night due to the glorious weather. Was also thinking of organising go-karting or laser quest. What do you all think?

Plus a pub crawl could always be on the cards!

Hey all!

Sorry for the huge delay in anything happening with the society. Thought its time to get the ball rolling again!

We have pub crawl orgainised for Monday 2nd March. It'll start at the Standing Order on George street at 8pm so hopefully Ill see you all there! If you need directions, drop me an email.

Also, an update to the Torness power plant trip. Don't worry it's still going ahead, we are still waiting on all the security checks to be competed. I'll let you know the date as soon as I know myself!

I'm planning on having a rocket building competition soon as well, so watch out on information on that. I am also planning on organising a trip to the museum of flight, so if that sounds your thing, let me know!
